Review on 🧥 Reflective Safety Jacket with Waterproof Pockets by Ray Sheptock

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Waterproof but NOT BREATHING

Despite the description mentioning this I was pleasantly surprised that it was actually two coats in one, with a fully insulated waterproof reflective jacket embedded in the outer layer was. rain jacket. It's warm and comfortable for winter. I changed my rating after wearing the raincoat a couple of times. Maybe if I wear inner pants. I wouldn't notice the insulated layer, but the outer layer itself DOES NOT BREATHE and will accumulate moisture. I didn't realize how much moisture it had until I wore it a few times. On a rainy day, no matter how hard I tried, I got just as wet inside as outside. The outer coat itself is almost never donned. The zipper is set in European style. It can take a second or two for a guy to think about overtraining his muscle memory to unzip. Plastic zippers do not withstand side loads very well. If the size is small and the zipper keeps the jacket tight, there may be problems. In the Marinnes, no offense to our Gaelic brethren, we called the protruding threads at the end of the line Irish pennants (originating from the British Navy). There are many in clothes. Although the thread seems to be of good quality, sometimes this can indicate a problem, I'll probably just seal the main seam with seam sealer. Due to the coating of the reflective strips, it is NOT machine washable. Features a lightweight, waterproof, detachable hood. I'm not the type to judge the hood. Raised it limits peripheral vision and hearing (bad for search and rescue) ---- lowered it inevitably dumps snow and water on the back of my head. i separated it With the exception of one for the portable radio (too narrow, maybe suitable for a flashlight or multi-tool), the pockets are large, wide and can be closed with a button strip. There are slits for warming hands under the main pockets on the buttons. Velcro strips on both sides for badges and patches, fabric loops for attaching a speaker/microphone near the collar, and shoulder snaps to prevent shoulder straps from slipping. If you're only wearing the inner jacket, you're limited to a radio pocket, hand warmer side pockets, and no Velcro, fabric loops, or snap-on lids. There is an inside pocket for a mobile phone. Both the jacket and coat have a "D" ring under the radio pocket. I'm 6ft 4in and 260. XXL fits perfectly.
