Revainrating 4 out of 5

A quality cable that works great at 4K/60Hz between a computer and a 4K monitor.

I needed a new HDMI cable for a new LG monitor (the second one on my desk) and it fits. The cable is well made and has gold plated HDMI connectors that easily match my computer and TV. The cable is thick and strong and bends easily all the way around except at the ends near the connectors where the hard PVC prevents it from breaking. There is an HDMI logo on each end and the cable says "HIGH SPEED HDMItm WITH ETHERNET CABLE MADE IN CHINA". It's good that the cable is labelled, but the bad news is that it is NOT labeled to any specific HDMI standard; If I look at it in six months, will I know if it's HDMI 2.0, 2.1 or something else? If you choose to label a cable, clearly label it with the standard to which it was manufactured. The cable certainly does what it's supposed to - I have no issues with its performance or build quality. The only problem I have and the reason for the four star rating is the lack of ANY brand and what that represents to me. The cable comes in a plastic bag with a sticker. The cable itself is as versatile as it gets - just embossed HDMI logos on each end and a few cable description labels on the jacket. The lack of branding issues tells me that the company has no interest in creating their own name - how could they do that without a name on the product - and won't be there for customers if they have problems in the future. . In the last month I've bought half a dozen Revain HDMI cables to connect to new TVs and monitors. I know I can find the manufacturer of the cable by where the name is stamped on the cable, maybe the seal will stay, but if there is no manufacturer/vendor information I know I will never find it if I do should she ever need.
