Review on Inflatable Bouncy Hopper for Sports & Outdoor Play - with Included Jumping Feature by Jason Carranza

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Two-year-olds admitted!

I wanted to buy my daughter a Rodi horse but it was too cheap. I chose this one instead and was not disappointed. The man said it is very easy to inflate. He tried to "inflate" it, so to speak, so it would stay stiff in her legs when she sat on it, based on previous reviewers' recommendations. Be sure to do it. The first time he was too soft, so I advised him to try and get more air; he did it and it works perfectly. My daughter is 2.5 years old, average height and build. That's a good size for her. She hasn't figured out how to jump on it yet, but she likes to use it as a seat at "her" table (the edge table). Sometimes she lays on top of them, sits on top of them with her back forward and puts her head between her ears. This horse is strong, odorless, and relatively sweet, or at least not an eyesore. It comes with a kind of oily finish that's normal for these things from the factory. Such products can generate a lot of static electricity as they move along the conveyor, so they are sprayed at the factory to reduce static electricity. This is easy to fix, just wipe it off after inflating. We gave it to her as a main gift for Christmas so didn't have it that long but for now we're very happy with it and hope to wear it for at least a year or so until she outgrows it. Edited: July 2015 Well, now my daughter has learned to jump on that thing. It's still her favorite toy (aside from her two favorite stuffed animals, which are her babies). Sometimes she lets me take it when we run errands, even though it stays in the car. A family friend's 8 year old son (big boy) jumped on it and although it was too big it held up well. So far we haven't had to add more air as it stays nice and fluffy and full. My daughter uses it indoors and outdoors on a gravel driveway. It gets dirty, but a wet cloth makes cleaning easier. Edited June 2016: It's a sad day in our house. My daughter used scissors and cut open the ear. I tried patching it with elastic vinyl repair tape and it held up well. Then she almost cut off the other tip of her ear. I have not been able to successfully repair this ear. The tape worked great. just not on the ear with all those angles and curves. One night we had to make the horse disappear quietly. But for us it was worth it. She put it to good use for a year and a half, and it would have lived on if she hadn't smuggled the scissors into her playroom!

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
