The whole device is made of cheap plastic/rubber. The top bar is about 3 and 3/8 inches long (width) and has a rise angle of about 45 degrees. My smartphone is wider than the width of the top frame. The top bar had to be longer to mount two devices, say 5 or even 7 inches. If you have a rise of 30 degrees or more and the stem is short, like mine, 50mm, then it touches the steering wheel. If you insist on buying it, DO NOT overtighten the screw like you would when tying a tofu lid. A slight tightening is enough, otherwise you will break the lower part of the seat, which replaces the steering column top cover. His return will cost me a small fortune, so I'll try to find a use for him.
