It's not as strong as it seems.

I bought this because it looked like a block of metal. It's not, it's plastic and not permanent plastic. I can't use it for what I have planned. I will be using it for my lights though, I want to raise it a little higher than before. I wouldn't recommend this for a computer as it's too flexible plastic, the computer vibrates enough to make the screen unreadable.

Should work reasonably well with light components.

I bought this with the intention of attaching my cellphone to the holder I have on it and there is enough flexibility in this unit that I have decided not to use it for that purpose use. Build quality seems good and I might use it on another bike where I need extra mounting points for lighter stuff. Unfortunately I think if I'm going to follow my original plan I'll have to shell out money for a similar item from Paul Components as it looks like a sturdier aluminum construction. If you'reโ€ฆ

Great idea, avoid cheap plastic if possible

The whole device is made of cheap plastic/rubber. The top bar is about 3 and 3/8 inches long (width) and has a rise angle of about 45 degrees. My smartphone is wider than the width of the top frame. The top bar had to be longer to mount two devices, say 5 or even 7 inches. If you have a rise of 30 degrees or more and the stem is short, like mine, 50mm, then it touches the steering wheel. If you insist on buying it, DO NOT overtighten the screw like you would when tying a tofu lid. A slightโ€ฆ

Exactly the mount I was looking for

You can't beat this computer mount at this price. Durable and very easy to install. It appears to be made out of nylon plastic - it has proven very durable in my use. A word of advice, before I bought this I read a review on Delta's website that recommended not over-tightening the stem bolt when installing. It is clear that turning this stem bolt can damage the plastic. The package lists a maximum torque of 4Nm on the stem bolt, which is more than enough to secure it without damaging theโ€ฆ

  • This is amazing

Very functional - not very stylish

This is an excellent value, very functional computer/light mount; not very nice to look at though. Buy it for a spare or commuter bike that fits your needs and isn't meant to impress. Don't buy it for a good carbon or titanium road or singletrack rider. You can get some really nice handlebar mounted computer caddies that look way better for your nice weekend bike. I have one on my road bike and prefer it to the stem mounted Caddy. Also, each stem mount cart eliminates the use of stem mountโ€ฆ
