This is actually one of the easiest ways to fix your 3DS. No boards need to be removed. After you open the 3DS, the round stick is right there, held in place by two screws. I understand that this can be a problem for those who don't have much experience repairing electronics as there are some delicate parts in this repair. In terms of quality, after installing it seemed pretty good to me with minimal resistance. When playing, it looks pretty close to the original. It's not exactly OEM quality, as the plastic offers more "bang for your buck" than the original. With that in mind, it's hard to say if it will hold up to the same abuse as the original, but time will tell. I will update my review accordingly.
