Review on Columbia Unisex Zigzag Cypress Backpack: Stylish and Versatile Daypack for Men and Women by Javarie Brumfield

Revainrating 4 out of 5

It's a hybrid backpack for day trips or school/work

It's good as a school/work backpack. It has two wonderfully padded, lined computer and tablet pockets. There are two zippered pockets on the front, as well as a strip of heavy webbing sewn on about every 1.25 inches for you to slide things in. The back of the backpack is well padded, as are the straps, which can also be adjusted in height over the chest. At the bottom of each side there is a patch pocket made of slightly stretchy fabric. The basis for a denser and more durable fabric. Everything about this backpack is top quality and extremely durable, and you pay a heavy price for it: It weighs just over 1.75 pounds. This backpack will last at least a year of heavy daily use and probably all of college. Disadvantage: It has no dedicated pocket for loading and no dedicated place for threading the wire. But as a travel backpack, it feels a bit heavy. When someone goes on a day hike, it seems like you'll have a bare minimum of gear for just a day and will focus on traveling light. However, a strap between the two front pockets would have been useful for folding hiking poles. Of course, you don't need pockets for your laptop and tablet. So I think this backpack is trying to be everything for all people. For durability I would definitely give it 5 stars but overall I'm giving it 4 stars mainly because it tries to be everything for all people and is therefore a little less than perfect for every person and purpose.

Pros
  • Confident
