Revain just doesn't do well enough on this product! I bought this after watching a YouTube video thanks to Chris from Preparemind101 and thought it had a great spark. Maybe it's because he just got used to the product? When I received and tested it, I had almost no spark on the first hit. Then he changed the angle of the firing pin on the iron rod and thought it was July 4th and lit a sparkler. I thought okay let my 13 year old daughter try it. She had never tried arsonists before; except for the firework starter. She almost jumped out of her skin from the sparks. I laughed. Want something that works? Buy it. Do you want to waste your time and energy? Buy something else. Oh, and for field use, I live in the Pacific Northwest and have set fires on two separate trips. One was when it was raining.
