This is a really powerful laptop but it has a few downsides. Per.1. Powerful processor and GPU2. Good full size keyboard and RGB3. Good screen along with G-Sync4. Wide range of ports5. Slim size for what's inside.6. Can be very quiet.7. Enough disk space and RAM. Both can be upgraded.8. Dedicated sound card.9. 4 speakers. See also disadvantages. Disadvantages1. Heat. It gets hot at the bottom.2. Fans can be very noisy if you don't place them properly.3. It's just a 60Hz screen in a $2,300 laptop. Trackpad could be better.5. The aorus software takes some getting used to and could be implemented better.6. Battery life sucks.7. The speakers lack content. I know I have a few cons, but you can't have them all. This is a gaming laptop and it gets warm, especially with the hardware it's got. It has plenty of storage space and RAM, and both are upgradeable. There is one free m.2 slot and two free RAM slots. The screen is very nice and can get bright, but it's a trifle that it's only 60Hz. There's a lot of it, but for the price it could be better. aorus software works great when you know how it works. I wish there was a better tutorial for this. Once you get used to it, the software is fine. I wish they had used Optimus instead of G-Sync. I've tried a few other laptops, like the Acer Predator Triton 700 GTX 1060 (I couldn't get used to the trackpad and keyboard layout, but overall not bad. It also had a very clicky keyboard), the Razer Blade 14 GTX 1060 ( it got hot all the time, and the fans were very noisy, like a small jet, also limited upgradability), Gigabyte Aero 15 (I know the same manufacturer, but the Aero 15 was very good, small, compact and with great battery life, but there were a few downs (coil squeal, weak screen hinges, poor charger, screen close angle in sleep mode was too early, about 45 degrees, and I had a Matrix), 2017 MacBook Pro 256GB model. (Very good, great battery life, thin, great speakers and screen. The cons of the MacBook Pro were the lack of upgrade options. Repair costs were out of the picture and only Thunderbolt port options.) aorus x5 v7 ticked all the boxes I needed for storage and RAM, an excellent screen, a full-size backlit keyboard, 15 inches, a powerful graphics card and processor. The only downside is the heat and battery life. I can squeeze out 2.5 hours just by surfing the internet. It was hard to find a laptop that didn't annoy me as much as the others.
