I bought the 64oz and 32oz canisters and after a month of use they are both doing a great job removing most of the air out of the canister by pushing the sealed plunger. They're not meant to be "vacuum sealed," which would literally suck every bit of air out of every crevice. But they are convenient and effective for removing most of the air. I didn't notice any seal wear as several other reviewers have pointed out. A 64-ounce canister is a little more difficult to use unless it's at least 3/4 full. with your food. Once it reaches the empty side, the plunger has a long way to go to the bottom of the canister and it gets a little wobbly. Only for that reason 4 instead of 5 stars. All in all a very good solution that can be stacked and looks good on a worktop.
