Very, very good and worth the money

I bought this a few years ago to store beans for my RV but brought it home because I love it so much! I've seen reviewers complain that it's light or that the lid doesn't fit snugly. The lid is only there to keep things out and make it stackable. The hermetic seal goes inside. The fact that it comes in two parts is nothing to worry about. I store whole beans in it, but it also holds the soil well. If you are using whole beans it is much better to use large beans as small ones are quite smallโ€ฆ

Attractive appearance, stackable and efficient in removing most of the air.

I bought the 64 and 32 ounce canisters and after a month of use they both do an excellent job removing most of the air from the Extract canister Squeeze sealed plunger. They're not meant to be "vacuum sealed," which would literally suck every bit of air out of every crevice. But they are convenient and effective for removing most of the air. I didn't notice any seal wear as several other reviewers have pointed out. unless the canister is at least 3/4 full of food. All in all a very goodโ€ฆ

Effectively removes air and looks great on countertop

I bought the 64oz and 32oz canisters and after a month of use they are both doing a great job removing most of the air out of the canister by pushing the sealed plunger. They're not meant to be "vacuum sealed," which would literally suck every bit of air out of every crevice. But they are convenient and effective for removing most of the air. I didn't notice any seal wear as several other reviewers have pointed out. A 64-ounce canister is a little more difficult to use unless it's at least 3/4โ€ฆ

Also, it just doesn't feel like a very strong sealing system.

2. UPDATE: The more I use it, the more I like it. At this point I would give it more than 3.5 stars and recommend it with the following caveats. Once you get used to sliding the inner lid and replacing the top lid, the process becomes more familiar. I really feel like it keeps my beans fresher because I can squeeze out all the air to the point where the lid touches the beans. This medium size works well for a full pound of beans, but I'll order a small one for the smaller 12-ounce beans Iโ€ฆ
