Hello! This review is from an amateur artist who prefers digital art and wants to find the best tool in a reasonable price range. I'm not rich or anything, but it's a hobby that's important to me, so I've spent maybe 5 months finding the perfect tablet that will do everything I need without wasting an arm and a leg. This was the tablet I went for and I was very happy with my purchase and I will talk about the issues I had after reading previous reviews and how they have held up in practice. The biggest problem when discussing a purchase is the "line swing" that many others have pointed out. I am happy to report that while this issue has not been fully resolved, it is no longer a problem! Huion has created a firmware update that greatly reduces line wobble after application. It should be noted that this issue only really affected your drawing when you were drawing slow diagonal lines, so many people who don't draw this way may not notice it. I've included before and after pictures (firmware update) to ease the concerns of those who are debating this purchase but think it may not work well enough for what they want. To get this firmware update, you need to send an email to huion support. @huiontablet.com. It comes with instructions on how to use it, but my advice is that if the device doesn't say "connected" during the process, leave the USB/HDMI plugged in, but unplug the USB-C port from the tablet and plug it back in, and it will work . ! Now for my experience with the device. I've always been more drawn to the digital environment than the traditional one, but for a few years I've only had an old Wacom Bamboo. I was never able to bridge the gap between drawing on the surface and looking at the other, this feeling served as a barrier to my motivation. I felt right at home after switching to this device once it was set up and up and running. Although I'm just starting to learn digital processes for art, I was able to draw a painting the first day I got it and I'll paste it here! The screen is beautiful and I didn't have to calibrate either the screen settings or the touch settings (which unfortunately can be an issue). The pressure and incline work great and it was a huge improvement over anything I've used. The device feels premium and the buttons/sliders are pleasant to the touch! I feel like I can grow and evolve as a digital artist without having to deal with pesky hardware glitches. One of the reasons I chose this device was its smaller size and weight. It is very easy to hold and move, very comfortable for me to hold it on the bed or rest it on my knees in a chair. It's not exactly portable, as it always needs a computer and a power outlet, but when paired with my MacBook, both fit easily in a bag, and in my opinion the portability is just as good for a device of this quality. Issues I encountered: On a Mac, the Adjust Brush Size option of the Photoshop slider was not working. After some testing I found that this feature doesn't seem to work if you change the key bindings in the software driver. I fixed it by exporting my settings and reinstalling the driver and then importing my settings again. Testing with it seems to work fine, but I was a bit upset, support didn't help me with this and I had to fix the error myself. There may be other obscure bugs like this that I haven't encountered yet, but here's my solution in case anyone needs it, I couldn't find it anywhere. For other obscure errors, I can't promise support will help or you can easily find the answer on the web. There is some heat at the top of the screen. It does get warm, but I don't feel at all that it could negatively affect the user or the device, normally you don't keep your hand in the top center of the screen when drawing. At the extreme edges of the top of the screen, the mouse moves away from where you have your pen when you draw. It didn't affect me negatively either, I mostly paint in the middle. I wouldn't have noticed this unless other people pointed it out in other reviews, it won't affect your ability to draw with it. The stand that comes with it is pretty junk. It offers 7 height options but only supports the device on 4 of them, including horizontal only. The edge of the stand that supports the bottom of the device needs to be longer after some tilt, currently it just slides off. I can't use it so I'll just keep it. However, the pen holder is wonderful and sturdy and includes 10 spare pen nibs, which is very generous considering how long they can last. The quality of the stand didn't affect me much other than disappointment as I still prefer just holding the device in my hands. So, final thoughts after a week of owning this device: I really like it. I think if you're an aspiring artist looking to finally invest in good digital gear, this is a perfect choice. If you're a seasoned digital artist there might be larger and more expensive options, but at this size and price you won't be upset that this is a more portable spare. I hope this review puts some mind at ease for those who have been in my position wondering if Kamvas Pro 13 is the right choice! I have a feeling I'll be happy to use it for at least a few more years, and I really respected Huion as a company for offering this kind of quality at this price point for those of us who can't afford a $2,000 one Wacom graphics monitor. . The material was praised for feeling professional and fun. A durability rating of 4 because while I don't think it will break or get scratched with use or maybe a bit of rough handling, there's no way I'd want to drop it from any height (like I would any screen device). Rating of 2 ease of installation due to the need to contact support for required firmware updates (waited 12 hours for response) and the driver issues described above.
