Review on ⚡ BNTECHGO 18 AWG Enameled Copper Magnet Wire - Magnet Winding Wire - 2 Oz - 0 Gauge by David Golden

Revainrating 5 out of 5

More practical and easy to use than 30 ga

Many electronic components contain magnet wire, which at 30 ga.a is sometimes difficult to work with. If your project calls for a small magnet wire, there's no reason to go with 30 ga. 28 ga is much easier to use and just as flexible for practical purposes. The insulation stays at 28 ga at 200 degrees C so I wouldn't try to burn it before use. It is better, faster and more efficient to use a metal file and remove it. Using a sharp knife is not enough and will gouge the wire.

Pros
  • The magnet wire is a copper wire coated with a thin layer of insulating varnish. This 18AWG magnet wire is 2 oz (25 feet) thick. The copper conductors are conductive, the insulation consists of modified polyester with a polyamide-imide coating, which protects the coiled wire from short circuits.
Cons
  • Long delivery
