Neither bad nor good; Good if you're just looking for the basics but not worth the price

I've had this Dell G3 laptop since July 2019. I previously had an ACER ASPIRE laptop and bought it in 2018 and I've been noticeably rougher with it and I feel like it lasted much longer. I was very careful with my Dell and to be honest it was mediocre. My computer runs Windows 10, GeForce and has Dell Update and Support Assist features. Updates are inconsistent and often buggy; My laptop was having major problems downloading some updates earlier this year in 2020 and I'm constantly having issues with high input lag on the onboard keyboard. The keys are fine, I keep my laptop clean. , but some keys just won't enter. My computer was shut down and completely reinstalled when it was having trouble updating and all my personal folders were completely erased. I had to re-download and re-install everything, all music, games and backups. All my saves have also disappeared from my games. This is relatively quick if you have one or two programs running at the same time. I play regular PC games like Cities Skylines on Steam, Minecraft Java Edition, Spyro Reignited (with Microsoft XBox controller support) on Steam and a few other games. I usually play games like Skylines, Sims 4 or Spyro with medium graphics, but I can handle high graphics in Minecraft if I don't play with mods. The laptop overheats quickly and needs a nice flat surface to play on so the fans can work properly and it needs some time to cool down. I only use headphones so I don't know if the built in speakers are any good. I also work a bit in art programs like PaintNET and KRITA and use a Wacom Intuos Pro. I also use heavy word processors like Libra Office and Scrivener with huge documents because I'm a writer. I'll admit that when you switch from an Acer Aspire to a DELL G3, the screen gets claustrophobic, especially in art programs. I might have one main program running (like Krita, a game, or a word processor) and sometimes an additional program like Google Chrome when I need something, or Spotify when I want to listen to music. Everything is OK. Regarding the keyboard issue, I had an old replacement plug in keyboard so I use that and I don't see myself trying to fix the laptop's built in keyboard which completely defeats the original purpose I bought this laptop (I'm a writer) but that's life. I haven't looked at the DELL website so I don't know what support is like. One year later? I probably feel like I could just spend $140 on a Toshiba laptop just to do some writing and basic PaintNET and I'd be fine, or what the heck? I have a friend who bought a nerdy tablet with a mini keyboard for only $90. All they do is write on this thing, I could do the same. I could probably get a pretty decent gaming desktop setup for light gaming, digital art, and video editing for $300-$400 and it would still cost less than what I paid for this laptop. I just need a dedicated, fixed desktop space. The Dell G3 laptop is not a gaming laptop. It is excellent. When the keys work, the slick keyboard makes it relatively light and fun to type on. But that's all, just fine. And it's surprisingly overpriced at over $600.
