I installed this particular transmission mount on a '94 Jeep XJ Cherokee with a 4.0L engine and AX-15 5 speed manual transmission, having already used Energy Suspension had poly engine mounts installed. A complete "poly modernization" of the powertrain and transmission has significantly changed the way my Jeep shifts, downshifts and revs when the throttle is pushed. With a manual gearbox, the increase in vibration is minimal and hardly noticeable at engine speeds above 700 rpm. There's a slight increase in cabin vibration at idle, but that's a plus for me as the car seems to have more power available. If you're looking for a sportier look for your Jeep, this transmission mount will work with AW4 and AX-15 transmissions, not just the 2.5L automatic setup advertised here. engaged the transfer case in four positions and it didn't stay locked. A quick 10 minute linkage adjustment was all that was required to restore the T-Box to optimum operating condition. UPDATE: July 24, 2014; Energy Suspension engine mounts are definitely not the best choice. So if you're going that route, get a Brown Dog, Iron Man Fab, or similar engine mount. However, the Daystar gear mount holds up great and hasn't given me any problems. I'm about to install one of these on a '97 XJ Cherokee Sport with an automatic transmission, so I'll write a separate review for that app.
