Review on EnviroCare Replacement Vacuum Cleaner Filters for Kenmore CF-1 Progressive Vacuums - Pack of 2 Filters by Nikki Huang

My new Kenmore canister (model 21714) lists the motor protection filter as CF-1 or 20-86883. I ordered this replacement item and as another review says it is slightly larger than the original vacuum and will need to be trimmed to fit. I took this filter to my local Sears store and compared it to a Sears brand CF-1 filter, 20-86883, on the rack. The Sears item is exactly the same size as this one. The problem is that the filter in the vacuum is not the same size as the CF-1, which is listed as the part number in the manual. I called Sears support and they had no explanation. They said it could be cut to size. The filter appears to be of the same quality as the original it replaces.
