Review on Adjustable Tension Curtain Rod - 78-108" Width With Classic Finial By Amazon Basics by Joel Mosqueda

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Still holding up strong after over a year holding heavy, handmade curtains!

I purchased the rod over a year ago, made some fairly heavy curtains, and hung those curtains up using this rod. I originally searched through Ross, Target and Walmart looking for the longest curtain rods possible, but only found really flimsy ones and even then the longest rods weren't long enough for my big picture window in my living room. Then I finally forced myself to look through Ebay and found this product. To my amazement, the length fit well within the size of my living room window and it looked like it was heavy duty. After I received it in the mail, my hugest concern was that the middle would start to bow down over time, as most curtain rods do when holding curtains/shower curtains/drapes when they're not reinforced in the middle of the rods. However, this baby is still holding up and straight as an arrow holding my curtains up in my living room window. So I give this product a 5-star rating. I'll definitely be buying more of these rods for the rest of my bid windows in my house. This is an especially good product to use for curtains if you have cement window frames and you have a hard time drilling holes into the window frame to mount the curtain rod supports.no holes needed!

Pros
  • This is holding up a very heavy curtain over an 84 inch span. It works like a charm.
Cons
  • The finial design may not be sturdy enough for heavier curtains
