I've always loved Fluke products. From my first contact with them in the US Navy over 25 years ago to my current work in underground mining electrical systems. I have used other electrical test equipment from many different companies and none match the overall quality of Fluke. Insulation resistance testing is part of every electrician's job (except for pipe and wire installers). Over the years it has proven useful to run polarization index (PI) and dielectric absorption ratio (DAR) tests to ensure insulation is in good condition. Performing PI and DAR calculations in the field can be a pain. but the Model 1507 can do the calculations for you, greatly improving an electrician's troubleshooting capabilities. All in all, this is an excellent product from the world leader in electrical instrumentation. Highly recommended!
