Edit: Once I figure out how to use everything I like about this stabilizer. But, as noted below, learning something relatively easy has not been easy. As I said below I like a telescoping handle which I think sets it apart from the competition. I gave this product 3 stars mainly because, like many Chinese products, they expect you to know what to do without instructions. They provided QR codes for videos which were very fast and not very detailed. THE MOST MISSING PART OF THE INSTRUCTIONS WAS ***HOW TO *UNLOCK* THE GLIB!*** "Just unlock the gimbal," they say, then chat on. . Is there a switch, choose. What? I literally sat here for over 30 minutes trying to figure out how to "unlock two axes" until I finally stumbled upon one. I saw that there was a plastic wedge on the vertical axis that looked like it just snapped into place. At first I was afraid of breaking the gimbal before using it, but it just took some effort to "unlock" it (as if the word "unlock" meant there was a physical button or switch , which needs to be pushed or pulled or something like that nice). They somehow escaped 2 locks, but it's a 3-axis gimbal. Is there a 3. It doesn't seem so. But the second "castle" turned out to be a real test. Nothing to push, pull, push. Turning on the flashlight I saw that like the other "lock" there was a piece of plastic pin inside the other "u" shaped piece of plastic that looked like it wasn't fully formed on one side. I was wondering if I couldn't unlock the gimbal, it was sent back and if I broke it due to lack of instructions it was also returned. So I spun it and it finally "unlocked". YOU WON'T BELIEVE THE PRESSURE I HAVE TO APPLY TO UNLOCK THIS. That was enough to certainly break the device if I guessed wrong. But there are no instructions based on where the QR code was sent to me from. So I googled "Vimbal 2s Owner's Manual" and one popped up. Of course, it must be charged beforehand. This also assumes you have a wall loading brick as it is not included. - and it doesn't tell you either. It will now prompt you to download FeiyuTech ON App. The app got two stars in the App Store and there was some information that they use your personal information in different ways. It seemed to be the most complete spyware I've ever come across. They say your data can be used to track you a) THROUGH APPS AND WEBSITES OWNED BY OTHER COMPANIES. b) THIRD PARTY ADVERTISING. I don't want them to have access to anything on my phone and I will never use this app even though I downloaded it. Maybe even that was a mistake. There are few functions that you need the app for and its main purpose is to control your phone, which you can do on the phone itself. Functionally, it pretty much does what it says on the tin in terms of stabilization. I can set the correct photo/video settings on my phone and use my phone to start and stop videos or take photos. Thats all I need. And if I have to sacrifice fancy features to avoid using their spyware, so be it. I want to say one positive thing about this device. The telescopic handle is practical. It's not that I can't attach a monopod or some sort of extension to standard 1/4"/20 tripod threads from other manufacturers. And I can with this gimbal too, but mostly not, especially given the extra small size Tripod stand can give you a few inches more stick. Also, the packaging it comes in is decent, but they have other models with better packaging I found this out by looking at third party unboxings/tutorials to find out .In addition to charging it took me over an hour to use this device just because they didn't include or provide a link or provide basic FULL "quick start" instructions I mean tell someone where and how the damn machine can be unlocked! It's been a full half hour. And I'm not exactly a village idiot. several different drones that are much more complex than this G guesses, but much easier to learn. After I finally got it set up, I practiced with it a bit. And of course, it takes some practice to get it right. The joystick button is very sensitive to move the gimbal. Convenient, but motion makes them difficult to use smoothly, so I don't recommend using them in the middle of a clip (like I can with a drone gimbal), at least not without some practice first. Also the wrist/hand movements may take some practice so you can anticipate what the stabilizer will do. It's a bit easier to work with than a joystick button, but can be used on the fly - again, with practice. May I recommend this product? Maybe. I'm going to do my first project with him this week, so I'll know better then. Revain's return policy for this item is generous, so I'd suggest taking a chance. I told you where the hiccups are. Google it and download the PDF, which will be helpful (although it doesn't say how to unlock it either, but I did). It's a bit more expensive than the others but has 3 axes and probably has all the features most people would need.
