The dog/cat sweater is very cute, the pattern is the same as the picture. The waist straps do the trick, but my cat ended up with a fur wedge. It fits our cats well but I would say it fits true to size but for my muscular cats it fits a size up. When I first received the item, the bag in the packaging bag was opened and the cat/dog sweater smelled like mildew, and after a quick wash and air dry, it still smelled the same, and I tried it on my cat and the smell changed, but went away after the bath.
