Pleasantly surprised

I was a little skeptical because I had the screen on my ipad mini 2 changed before and it ca es. Don't be fooled, this isn't Apple quality, but for $22 I can't complain at the moment when the Apple equivalent is around $200 including installation. I paid $100 at a local repair center for the latest digitizer and installation and as mentioned the quality was sub-par and it had no logo on the home button. I would recommend a hair dryer or heat gun to heat the glue for easier peeling, but overall I don't need anything else with the tool kit provided and it took about an hour from start to finish. A small ice cube tray or ifixit makes a nice magnetic mat that can help keep the micro screws in order for easy assembly. The only thing I think they could improve is if they made tabs to remove the adhesive as it took some effort to remove while the tablet was almost fully assembled, but that's just a minor issue. I would also recommend putting on a tempered glass screen protector to add a little extra strength as it isn't as strong as the original. I bought a screen protector for $10 and am happy with it. Pros: All the tools you need to get the job done, apart from things that make things a bit easier like a hair dryer and a parts tray, has a logo on the home button, good fit, price, Cons: not as durable as the original but for $22 what you can expect the adhesive backing is difficult to remove
