I've been using a french press for a few years and while I really like this method I finally tried a regular pour over mug and thought I had to switch. It's crystal clear coffee, without the haze you get in a French Press, and on top of that you don't get that bitter, overcooked taste that comes with a French Press (because the coffee beans never separate from the coffee, they just sank to the bottom ). Therefore, in my opinion, this method is best suited for an optimal cup of coffee that does not change in taste as you drink it. And this particular product is solid. By the way, the included little filter cone is SUPER handy - it fits perfectly on some of my mugs and I use it when I want to quickly make a cup of loose tea without throwing away the sachet - I only use a sachet when I'm making a full pot.
