I make a living driving a garbage truck with broken shock absorbers. So I needed something to hold my phone to myself so I could track my route in the Maps app on my phone. I have a vertical rail (to climb into the cockpit) that I could attach my phone to. I got this one because it has little rubber pieces to make sure your phone doesn't fall out. My truck could dislocate a vertebra if you hit the tracks, so it was important that my phone didn't bounce. I used rubber things for a while (I have an iPhone 7+) and they work great, but after a while I got lazy and stopped. I was happy to see that the phone never fell out of its holder even without the little rubber loops! One of the other drivers saw that I was using it and bought the exact same thing for his truck. I LOVE this stuff!
