The autofocus is the worst I've had on a phone in the last ten years (15+ years!). It's constantly looking for focus, resulting in 50% of all photos taken ending up in the trash. Video is just terrible despite 8k support. Why do you ask? Samsung has chosen to use single-lens autofocus instead of the dual-lens autofocus found in every other modern smartphone. Even the Galaxy S20+ has dual lenses, so I'm a little upset with their decision to do that on this model. This is not only a critical error by Samsung, but also a crime that should be charged at $1,400. This phone has next-gen features with first-gen tech hiccups, all at a price two to three times the price of the superior last-gen model. For everyone who is waiting for the promised Samsung update hoping it will solve the problem, it is NOT coming! The problem with the auto focus is a HARDWARE problem! This CANNOT be fixed with an update. If you're looking for a camera for a next-gen (even current-gen) smartphone, look elsewhere.
