I have a diabetic cat that has developed neuropathy. The vet sold me a low carb diabetic cat food and told me to give him insulin twice a day and only dry food (vets canned at $1.50 per can and dried at $48 for a 6 pack). "under control" by 8 months and the neuropathy is getting much worse. He was skin and bones and couldn't even walk up and down stairs. He hated diabetic food so I figured he didn't have long to live and I started feeding him Frisky because he loves it. After only giving him Friskies for 4 months, his diabetes is fully controlled with insulin injections and the neuropathy is completely gone! I'm not saying Friskies is a miracle food but my cat loves it, his diabetes is under control and his neuropathy is gone. Lots of protein and few carbohydrates. I would say it's a win-win situation!
