Strong Prop best in my review

Should have been factory prop , my motorguide is strong I have run it 1 speed slower now it moved the bass boat so well That's my feedback.

Pros
  • Innovative design and advanced technology make it the most powerful and efficient trolling motor prop available
Cons
  • May require additional maintenance

Not for the xi3 55lbs

Bought this because I wanted a weed less prop, and after watching the video on it says I should gain speed and save battery but that didn’t happen I used it one time on a lake with no weeds and it killed my 100ah Dakota lithium battery in 6 hours, it is weedless though.

Pros
  • Best prop ever made
Cons
  • May not fit all MotorGuide models

Great Product good for me

In my experience, weedless props are not weedless. They are just weed resistant. Once a weed wraps itself around the prop and housing. You have to pull the motor. So far I have had pretty good luck with the Katana 2 blade design. It works very well at chopping up the weeds before they wrap up. I have yet to pull the motor up. The 2 blade design does come at a sacrifice tho. The trolling motor is slower than the 3 blade prop I had before. For me this in not a bad trade off. More fishing verses…

Pros
  • good!
Cons
  • May decrease maneuverability in shallow water

Significant improvement all around.

This prop increased speed , torque, and battery life on my Motorguide X3 55lb foot controlled trolling motor. That's my review.

Pros
  • ‎0.32 Kilograms
Cons
  • May require approval from certain governing bodies

Great improvement over the stock three blade prop

Prop works great, So much better than the stock 3 blade prop. Going through weedy patches is so much easier and a noticeable difference on how much longer the trolling battery lasts.

Pros
  • The propeller's construction is made of high-quality materials designed to last a long time, making it a reliable addition to your boating gear
Cons
  • May not work well with certain boat types

Best Motorguide prop made .

It is a bit pricey . I can say however that it performs very well and may have added a little extra thrust to my motor . It appears my boat turns quicker at lower thrust settings than it did with the Machete prop . I also like the fact that it is a two bladed and not a three bladed like my previous prop so I dont have a blade sticking straight up so a boat cover will fit .

Pros
  • Worked great and easy!!
Cons
  • May cause motor to make more noise

Prop binds up: my feedback

I bought this for my R3 but, it binds up on the power head so I put it on my bow mounted X3. Have not been on the water yet so don't about performance.

Pros
  • ‎MotorGuide
Cons
  • May decrease overall motor lifespan

Worthwhile upgrade from my Safari

It’s early I n the season, yet to put it through weeds because there are none. But in every other metric, this Katana outperforms the Safari. I have picked up well over a half MPH speed and it seems to do better in windy / sloppy conditions. Not all the surprising given it being a larger diameter prop. Battery life is likely to be better although it’s hard for me to measure. Prop seems to be quieter too. Install is easy but unfortunately it does not work with my T-H prop nut.

Pros
  • ‎End Product and Infromation
Cons
  • May not fit all boat and motor configurations

Doesn’t fit all 3.5 hubs

Seemed like a quality item but doesn’t fit all motor guide 3.5 hubs the replacement prop hit the skeg on the trolling motor

Pros
  • Versatility
Cons
  • May not be worth the investment for occasional fishermen

Excellent Weedless Propeller, American Made!

This is a superb quality trolling propeller that is easy to install and provides excellent thrust. It is constructed of glass reinforced nylon, so it can take some abuse without breaking. It is designed to improve motor efficiency so you will get 30% more time on your battery than standard propellers. It includes all hardware needed to mount it. Buy this and you will have more time on the water per charge! I very highly recommend this trolling motor propeller.

Pros
  • ‎Black
Cons
  • May not increase efficiency as advertised

Works great best in my review

This prop works excellent. Goes on easily and quickly and works wonderful. Fits perfectly to my trolling motor. Saves the day for a trolling motor

Pros
  • Sports
Cons
  • May cause blades to become bent or damaged

works very well good for me

I got this product and put it on our trolling moter in 10 minutes and on our 18ft inflatable dingy it gave it an extra 2mph. would definitely reamend to any one looking for a prop for there motor( side note make sure it is the right size for your motor before buying this product)

Pros
  • ‎One size
Cons
  • May be difficult to remove once installed

Major improvement over 3 blade prop

Huge improvement over original motor guide 3 blade prop! Should be the prop the trolling motor came with! Also does a great job going through most weeds unlike the 3 blade prop and it increased the trolling speed so it improves battery life.

Pros
  • It has more speed than the 3 blade glade they decided to make 2 blade prop again amazing
Cons
  • This thing from 70% to 100% power will vibrate so bad. Not recommended to use for shallow water fishing.

New 2-Blade Prop For My Trolling Motor

I got this 2-blade prop for my older electric trolling motor. I didn’t know if it would fit until I got it. The old one was a 3-blade, quite a bit smaller, and with well-worn edges. This one went right on the hub, and was easy to install with the comes-with hardware (2 different sized pins to choose from). They say it was designed with "NASA hydrofoil shape,” and is "leading prop technology from Mercury.” It’s made of some tough, flexible plastic they call "engineered polymere.” The hub…

Pros
  • Great
Cons
  • May cause motor to vibrate excessively

Excellent fit and great value for the money

Fit like a glove haven’t been able to go fishing yet this winter but can’t wait to use the prop this spring it was easy to install and the thickness is ideal from the prop.I would recommend this prop for being a weedless and for the great value

Pros
  • Durable and well manufactured. Definitely not a cheap piece of equipment. Works as intended.
Cons
  • May cause damage to weeds and other debris

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Works, but not life changing.

Used as replacement for a plastic 3 blade on an older 12v 43lb thrust motorguide. Had a slight grinding sound while in motion, probably just a clearance issue that will correct itself with use. Didn't notice a real difference in power, speed, or battery life on a group 31 deep cycle.

Pros
  • the ability to use Best Buy prime at a remote location saved the trip
Cons
  • Came without the pin !!!!!

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Works well, well made

Even if it weren't more efficient I would still use a prop like this. I like it's truncated ends. It makes it much friendlier to the boat cover.

Pros
  • Such a great addition to my xi3!!
Cons
  • May not perform well in high winds

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Really durable and great in weeds

Awesome at powering through thick weeds and is durable when maneuvering around rock bottom and structure! That's my review.

Pros
  • Weedless prop excels in current, shallow-, and open-water applications
Cons
  • May not provide noticeable improvement in propulsion

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Look closely at the motor model

This creates a LOT of thrust. I had to make some slight modifications for this to mount properly onto an older Tracker 45 model, but minimal and negligible in comparison to the performance gain

Pros
  • Boating
Cons
  • May be difficult to find replacement parts

Best weedless propeller I have ever used.

Motor Guide sent me this propeller as a good will gift for waiting (still) for the tour pro I ordered in February. I have been using motor guide trolling motors for over 40 years and I have never seen a propeller perform as well as the katana. I noticed more power right away. The thing that really impressed me most was the ability to zip through dense weed beds with ease. At one point I was in weed bed so thick the weeds were piling up on the nose of the trolling motor head. I raised the motor…

Pros
  • I think this 2 blade is more efficient on battery power. I have no data just perception.
Cons
  • May decrease battery life
