An 89 year old aunt couldn't hear dialogue very well on TV (hey, I'm 57 and may have the same problems!). So I was looking for a soundbar that could really help with that. I can't say the sound quality is much better, but it really helps make the dialogue easier to understand. Especially if you use "dialog customization". It is very important! Benefits1. Significantly improves dialogue (which is actually the main purpose of this Bose speaker/soundbar)2. Very easy to set up. I used an HDMI cable (sold separately) through an optical audio cable (included). I simply plugged the HDMI cable into the TV's HDMI audio jack and the rest was taken care of. After a very short time sound appeared and it was ready to go.3. If you use an HDMI cable, you can use TV or cable company remote controls. Much easier than Bose.4 Small Remote Delivery. Not too big and good looking (that's subjective, I know) Cons 1. Pretty expensive for its true purpose (mainly improved dialogue)2. The remote control is quite small and very easy to lose3. You need to buy an HDMI cable separately to use your own remote controls. ) or money for this review. Just my opinion to help you make a purchasing decision.
