They feel very odd in hand. If you've ever worked with craft foam, it's very similar to this one. I expected a firmer feel from them. These are very thin sheets, similar to foam. You get 40 per pack (although I didn't count mine - I assume they go by the weight of the pack). However, these guys clean very well without damaging the surface. My photos (which are admittedly not the best from my little cell phone) show my light panel and the wall around it before and after. I am partially disabled and often use my walking stick to turn the lights on and off. This sometimes leaves small dark scratch marks on the plate and the wall. A sheet of metal took care of the stove, wall and door frame. I also did the bottom of my door where our crampons tend to rub and shoes press against it. The sheet metal did a great job and everything is as clean as the first time it was painted. So don't let the subtlety fool you. You did a good cleaning job. I would buy them again.
