To judge the accuracy of this tester I tested it on a famous diamond and a famous moissanite before relying on it. I checked the diamond and it said "diamond". I checked the moissanite and it said "Moissanite". I checked the diamond again and it said "Moissanite". I read the instructions again and tried again: Diamond. So I double check the moissanite: a diamond. The diamond is GIA certified and the moissanite was sold to me as such. But this very expensive tester doesn't seem to be able to tell which is which. I imagine the little goblin in him laughing at me. He comes back.
