For what it's worth, I'm a veterinarian:I have a pittie who loves nothing more than to eat things she shouldn't. She's already had a small intestinal obstruction once that required surgery, and I have 2 little kids so I can't follow her everywhere to be sure she doesn't chew stuff up.We bought an expensive plastic "Hannibal Lecter" type muzzle she could get off in 2 seconds. This one was a little large for her head (she's about 55#), but we punched an extra hole in the buckled area and it's PERFECT. She is very persistent and stubborn and despite her best efforts to rub this thing off it remains in place. It's also comfy for her - once she rubs once or twice she leaves it on happily for hours (if needed). One of the techs I work with was certain this thing would be a joke and she'd destroy it or rip it off immediately, but it's been amazing. The peace of mind it gives me alone is worth it!
