Review on 🔥 MEECO's Red Devil 5 lb Creosote Eliminator by David Herrera

I experienced a chimney fire with another product, did some research and decided to give it a try and was very pleased. I have an old large Fisher wood stove and it is a well known creosote manufacturer. I use it as my main heat source, it's not uncommon to keep a fire going for a week or more. I use this product consistently every other day and use about twice the recommended amount. This procedure was achieved after using it at different intervals and doses and checking the condition of the inside of the chimney between the hearths. This product turns the creosote into a light, powdery substance that still collects inside the chimney and chimney cap, but is easy to clean. I have a 26ft chimney so I have to keep an eye on the chimney cap, it gets clogged with powdery residue that foams up like lumps. I believe that the long chimney along with the lack of a large fire is the cause of the cap clogging. There is no solid creosote inside the tube, just a powdered coating that is easy to clean with a chimney brush. Other products I've tried before haven't worked as well. Wood stoves are much more problematic with creosote than fireplaces, but both require this product for your safety.
