Impractical
Virtually useless for all but the lightest necklaces as it is too flexible. When I put a heavier chain on it, it slid down one side and was difficult to get into a horizontal position. And since it can't be used as a travel item, because you can't protect the tape during transportation or re-stick when you arrive, it's better if you still need to store the spike in a place with a hard, stare off.
