My husband has used ViewSonic before and thought I would be very happy with their large monitor. I had an old Samsung that was good when it was new but now it's broken, the pixels are messed up and that's not good. I put it in by myself, I also unpacked it by myself. It was just right out of the box. And light weight, I really thought it was a 24 inch screen which I would need help to carry, luckily I was wrong. I hooked it up to the computer and power and saw a blank screen. I started fumbling around the frame, front, back, and outside, but couldn't find the power button. Called the company and spoke to a nice gentleman (Blaine) who was looking for this model and found where the buttons were. They are CORRECT on the front. I should have gotten a flashlight to see her, I don't think I hit her exactly, but as soon as I DO, he replied and turned on the monitor. I think it's good that they're unobtrusive, BUT maybe they should put a little "3D dot" or two on the power button. Anyway where they are, the RIGHT SIDE next to the little white slash right where the bottom and side edges meet. When the monitor is on, this white slash is blue. Once you find and touch the button, you will see that it takes NOTHING to turn it on or off. ALSO, Blaine said that if I was running Windows 7 or later, I probably wouldn't need to use the CD that came with it, I would be willing to run it, but I don't have to. He said there was a lot of good information on the CD so I REALLY plan to take the time to look through it soon. Anyway, it's set to full screen, the color is good, I really have no complaints about that. If this changes I will come back to change the rating. but for now it looks like a quality monitor with a big screen. which I think everyone would like to have. I hope they find that "3D dot" on the power button or a better "sketch" in their quick guide, because now this guide shows a finger pointing to the "start button" and that's it. ...although they did give you a little ad that the control buttons are flush and located in the bottom right corner. something that helps us. especially for those of us of a certain age ;-) I would recommend this monitor to anyone looking for an updated monitor replacement.
