Follow the instructions on the bottle and combine with API starter bacteria. My 36 gallons cycled in two and a half weeks. (I considered turning on the heater to turn it on faster, but I wanted to avoid a possible crash and work slowly.) Patience is important when starting your aquarium properly, it prepares the aquarium for adding fish safely. . This is the safest way to drive your aquarium and no fish will be harmed.
