I had a pair of jeans that were damaged by battery acid. He took out a rather large piece near the knee. As the jeans were otherwise in good condition I ordered these patches to fix this acid damaged pair and to see if I could also repair the other pair which I had applied super glue to which made the jeans very brittle at the landing point and started tearing around the edges. . Both had to be washed out after I applied the patches, so I wanted to test how well these patches would work right after the line. ! I ironed the jeans where the holes were so the surface was flat, then attached the patch and pressed it in place. I decided to put the patch on the outside of the jeans. I continued to press the patch with an iron with decent effort for about a minute. After I was done I let them cool, checked if they rose, then did another ironing cycle for about 30 seconds and let the jeans cool. After they sat down, I ran the jeans through the washer and dryer. The patches held up well on first use and show no signs of peeling. For those struggling, make sure you use a hot enough iron and apply enough pressure to set these patches in place and allow them to cool before actually touching them.
