Review on Samsung LC34H890WJNXGO Ultrawide Curved Monitor with 3440x1440 Resolution, 100Hz Refresh Rate, Tilt and Height Adjustment, and Flicker-Free Technology by Brian Wallace

Disappointing PBP management

The monitor itself is picture-wise good. I bought this model to take advantage of the PBP (Picutre By Picture) mode, which allows you to split the screen between two different computer inputs. While it works, the positioning controls are terrible. There are few location options (see fig.). There is an application available (Windows only) that manages virtual windows, but of course it only works on the part of the screen dedicated to the same input (in other words, it does not manage the placement of the monitor source). Too bad Samsung didn't do that. I don't have enough foresight to enable Wi-Fi on the monitor hardware itself so it can be controlled from any connected platform or phone app. Damn.
