Review on Samsung LC34H890WJNXGO Ultrawide Curved Monitor with 3440x1440 Resolution, 100Hz Refresh Rate, Tilt and Height Adjustment, and Flicker-Free Technology by Taaztmara Park

I've had a Samsung CH890 for about 24 hours now and I absolutely love this monitor. I used to have an ultra-wide 29" screen and didn't think the extra 5" would make such a big difference, but I was wrong. While working I can have 3 conveniently sized windows in 3 columns. It really makes a difference just looking left and right on one screen instead of looking at a second screen. I launched a few games and was blown away by how awesome and exciting everything looks. Here are some random thoughts: + Displayport and USB-C inputs means my work laptop and gaming PC can both be plugged in at the same time and use a 100Hz refresh rate (FYI, you may need to change the refresh rate in the Manually increase advanced display options ). + Today I tried a picture in a picture, I'm sure it will come in handy. (Note: Your computer may see the PIP setting as a new screen, requiring you to update the position, etc. Also, PIP seems to lock the screen to 50Hz.) + The default Eco mode settings are great for office work , but quickly switch to Cinema profile to watch a movie (tested with Blade Runner 2049, looked great) or Gaming profile. + The management of all settings with the rotary knob is quite intuitive. After a day I can go through the options to experiment with some other settings. + I was a little worried about the lack of reviews, but I got a really clean, even image with crisp text. + The box was well packaged and makes building the stand very easy. Leave the monitor panel there while you assemble the stand, and you can then snap it into place while the monitor is still in the box. The manual says so, but it's easy to miss. You will need a coin or screwdriver for the 2 screws on the base. Overall, no real negatives so far (the 50Hz picture-by-picture and picture-in-picture modes are a bit of a shame, but it's a feature I'll only use occasionally). Will update the review if anything changes with more use.
