Review on Large Fully Adjustable Nice Stretch™ Original by Antonio Bacon

I was diagnosed with a tarsal coalition in my left foot and had surgery 3 weeks ago to correct it. In addition to having pins inserted into the heel and fusing the bone to position the foot properly, the Achilles tendon had to be cut in 3 places to allow it to stretch properly in its new position. I'm recovering with three cuts, the worst of which is on the heel. They put a fiberglass cast on me and told me to keep lifting it and apply ice from time to time to reduce the swelling. Let me tell you, the cast sucks! Mine was chafing on both ankles to the point where they were red and swollen. The elevated position of the heel put pressure on the incision and caused shooting pains all over the foot, especially in the middle of the night when the painkillers wore off. I'm also claustrophobic and can't stand it when any part of my body shrinks. Everything is simple and clear, the plaster had to go! My surgeon requires my foot to be immobilized and at a 90 degree angle (which was not the case with the cast). I also needed something soft and comfortable that I could remove to clean the seams, something that wouldn't aggravate my heel cut when lifting, and something small enough to fit me (I'm a women's size 4.5). Lo and behold, I found this tire! And it comes with a built-in but detachable ice pack. HUGE BONUS! I LOVE IT! It is very comfortable and much lighter than fiberglass patches. Another Revain customer complained that the Velcro on the straps was not strong enough. Mine have industrial velcro and they are very strong and you can move them anywhere on the belt for your comfort. The splint itself is very comfortable, so much so that I don't want to take it off. The adjustable straps allow me to put my foot at the right 90-degree angle, and when I'm feeling really athletic and want to stretch my Achilles tendon a little, the splint comes with a removable foam wedge that can be placed under my toes while pushing them . a little further and stretch the bow. I ordered a small and was worried it wouldn't fit properly. The small hoop will comfortably fit a woman between sizes 3.5 and 6. This hoop is a godsend and worth every penny! I would give 10 stars if I could.
