Review on 🔧 Metra 99-8220 Standard Black Installation Kit for 2007-2009 Toyota Tundra/Sequoia - Single/Double DIN - Efficient Solution by Josh Schweitzer

Paired this with my Jensen VX7020 unit which I installed in a single cab Tundra in 2007. The set turned out to be pretty complete and had everything (and more) than I needed. There were a few things that needed to be done during installation that made me a bit nervous as an installer, mainly due to the fact that I had to cut/cut the main body to allow a double din block to be used. But got over it, hooked everything up and then installed the 'inner frame' around the stereo to complete the installation and it sat on top of the unit and didn't snap into place. I'm not sure if it's because the stereo is a little low or because the equalization is disabled on this kit. I had to take the factory stereo mounts and throw them in the drill press to lengthen the holes and slide the stereo back about 2mm and then line everything up. In general, the appearance is really good, and apart from the listed problems. it was a good sentence.
