If you have wide feet/high arches/mid toes and don't mind style = this is perfection. As an added bonus, they work really well when you have to walk on icy surfaces. I have oiled leather and I think it wears a little better than shiny leather. I sprained my foot badly and had to wear the boot for 2 months. It was the only winter shoe that fit me afterwards.
