Before using Bearded Goon wax I used Honest Amish Balm. Well, both are great companies, but the Honest Amish balm just didn't hold my beard like this product did. This product saved my life as I struggle with a lot of messy hair and beard and this wax has allowed me to achieve a sleek look without having to trim my beard or sacrifice volume. I highly recommend this product. The only downside is that it's a very small container, only 1 ounce, but it has lasted me for several months so far because you don't have to use that much product to get the hold you want.
