I bought this product because I rent an old house from the 1940's that has hardly been renovated just serviced and as it is an old house I noticed that my The closet gets extremely wet one summer and it will retain that moisture throughout the season. My clothes started smelling like mold and I needed to fix something quickly to keep the mold from ruining my wardrobe. There are three in the kit, but by the end of the summer (about three months) I only had one. It worked great, there was no more odor in my clothes and it's easy to see that the product is working and throw it away. I haven't had any issues with the leak but I can see the tear can cause some issues so maybe put a rag underneath when you first hang it up just in case. I recommend this product for small spaces that trap moisture.
