Review on ⌚ Marathon GPS Watch by Timex by Heather Smith

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Solid performance: Ladies

I wasn't interested in a fully featured GPS running watch. All I wanted was a watch that showed distance and was water resistant. After training, I can look at the data, but when running, I'm only interested in the distance. And I run in the rain, so waterproofing is also important to me. This watch does. There's no heart rate monitor or the ability to connect it to a computer and download anything. And it suits me. After three weeks of use I had no problems with it. I charge every few days, put it on and go. The settings are the same as any other digital watch. Once I learned how to use the buttons, there were no problems. My demands on the ad. The distance indicator I want is small. The display can be changed to show different options on the last BIG line, but the distance display cannot be changed. For younger eyes, this may not be a problem. But I found I had to slow down and focus on the display to read it. Other watches, like Nike or Tom Tom, have a remote display that's easy to read at arm's length. But the price and/or lack of moisture resistance put me off them. All in all, I'll keep this one and recommend it to anyone who just wants consistent performance at a low price.
