Poor fit and plastic melts make removal impossible.
I didn't expect this bulb to be factory quality, but I didn't expect the bulb to fall that far below that mark either. The tabs are not of the correct tolerance making them difficult to screw/lock. In addition, the first bulb quickly burned out and melted with the circuit board, requiring disassembly of the control panel to remove it. Also, it took nervous poking, poking, and prying on the board to finally get it out. I reluctantly put another in its place while waiting for some Toyota bulbs to arrive.
