I have had a high end ASUS Chromebook for about 18 months and as a seller it served my needs much better than my windows laptop. That saves me a lot of time. My Windows desktop was showing signs of aging, so I decided to give Chromebox a try. I bought an ASUS N019U with an i3 processor and 8GB of memory. I've only had it for a few days but I haven't had any problems with the equipment. I have been using MS calculators for over 35 years and have installed many new computers. Setting up a Chromebox is easier and takes significantly less time. System updates, which are inevitable when setting up a new PC, take around 60 seconds on a Chromebox, as opposed to 60 minutes (or more) on a Windows PC. You may need to take training to switch from Windows. in chrome. Spreadsheets and documents aren't as robust as Excel and Word, but if you don't need to create complex charts or complex documents, Google's apps are great. Everything is stored in the cloud, not on your local hard drive. Since I need to access my files on the go, that's actually a plus for me. I prefer Onedrive over Google Drive. This is not a problem. I installed the Onedrive app from the Play Store and it works perfectly. There was one thing that really annoyed me. Mouse wheel scrolling was excruciatingly slow, and there aren't any adjustments in the settings. This issue was addressed by installing the Chromium Wheel Smooth Scroller Chrome extension, which allows for numerous settings including the speed at which the wheel scrolls. (requires restart) If I encounter any hardware issues, I'll update my review. So far I am very happy with this purchase.
