It has never failed with my EF lenses. Another review mentioned that it needs to be attached to the lens first. Then the camera body. I used a Canon 50mm EF lens and a 70-300mm EF lens on my Eos M6 M ii body. The only thing that bothers me is the slight grinding noise it makes when attaching it to the case. These are the gold pins in contact with the body mount. I hope it lasts, but it's a fifth of the Canon version. If it doesn't work I'll buy another one. Pretty light weight. I've even used it with extension cords. All exif data goes through. Decent build quality. I expected that for less than 50€.
