I have been cleaning this humidifier with a solution of vinegar and water every 2-3 days because of orange mold growing inside the spout and base. This is a very time consuming and complex process. It is necessary to separate the parts of the detachable spout to get inside and remove all the orange mold growing there. Separating the base of the grommet from the body of the grommet is very difficult and I am afraid I will break the plastic as it takes very little force to separate. There's even orange mold deep inside the spout when I look at the hole where the mist is coming from - the only way to get there is to use a wooden skewer with a small piece of damp paper towel on the end, but I can't wipe everything and it worries me. There is also orange mold that sometimes grows in the bottom of the tank and under the float. It is very difficult to clean under the float as it is not removable. I am so disappointed because the humidifier works great and is so easy to fill.
