I also fell into the trap that others fell into: I didn't read carefully because I assumed that with 26 pieces there would be an alligator for every letter. As it was marked for ages 18+ I figured it would be easy for my 2 year old to practice the letters. However, she is confused by the different letters on both sides (as am I, to be honest) and they are not self-correcting, so parts can easily mismatch. It actually seems a bit counter-intuitive because she may have been practicing incorrect capitalization together. In my picture, the green pieces are just flipped randomly, so you can see their confusion about which ones go with which ones. I gave this 3 stars because it's good quality and works well with perhaps older children who are more familiar with letters, but not for 18 months.
