We live in a shoebox-like apartment and I'm always looking for ways where I can get more storage space. Has been working for a month now with no problems. You need to make sure you position it where you want it and tighten it as tight as possible for a solid foundation. Once you do that, everything should be fine. You can use a few more under the bearing on the stairs.
