What was that thought? Get brother

I bought this on a whim. More research should have been done. The printer is noisy. But above all, the toner is insanely expensive. 4 replacement cartridges cost almost $400, almost double what I paid for the printer! No aftermarket toners are sold anywhere. I donate it and get a brother.

Pros
  • Acceptable
Cons
  • sad packaging

find something better

This printer is terrible. I bought 3 which ran out of ink after a few months of light use (50-100 pages a week). It then doesn't recognize replacement cartridges, and even if it does, they're more expensive than a brand new printer with cartridges, so people just order a new printer and throw away the old, basically brand new printer because of cartridge replacement issues. and pricing. Crazy.

Pros
  • Great selection
Cons
  • Almost never

Not worth the best in office electronics

I have had this printer for 6 months now. It worked great for the first month or so, but now every time I print something I get 1-2 solid black lines down the page like the printer is skipping. Do yourself a favor and buy another laser printer.

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • Update available

DO NOT DO THAT! - Printer

I have had this printer since December 2018 while on a 4.5 hour phone call to Lexmark. The printer is still shown as offline. Lexmark connects to my computer remotely and it works for a few days, then I have to call them back and talk to them for hours while they try to fix the problem. I definitely regret this purchase.

Pros
  • User Friendly
Cons
  • Neutral

Do not buy this printer!

I thought it looked like a cute little printer: was I ever wrong! First I ordered (yes there were two) printed lines across the page on all color copies. So I contacted Lexmark tech support, which was a waste of time as the support rep who was "helping" me was completely clueless. So I contacted Revain who sent a replacement and he did the same! So I lugged another £50 printer up the stairs to the basement and bagged it for return. The good news in all of this is that Revain's customer service…

Pros
  • Feels good
Cons
  • No insurance

Great printer but wish it was smaller.

I haven't had a printer for a long time, but so far it works great! It's fast and the print quality is excellent. I wish it was a little smaller like the Dell laser printer it replaced. Dell wasn't a duplex printer though, so I know the Lexmark would need to be bigger to accommodate the duplexer. In addition, no cables were included, such as a LAN cable or a USB cable. Luckily I had a USB printer cable because I had to plug it directly into my computer. These are minor complaints. In general…

Pros
  • It's fun
Cons
  • There's nothing here

Great color - fast - and great price

Bought this for my office as we have outsourced all color printing. This easy-to-use and very user-friendly printer is characterized by fast printing speeds, beautiful colors and, above all, very economical consumption.

Pros
  • Finally bought it
Cons
  • Not the best

Print Quality vs. HP Laser Printers

As I also have an HP Color LaserJet M254dw printer, I thought it would be interesting to compare the print quality with this Lexmark C2425dw printer. In this photo I've printed the football scene on both to compare on plain paper. The quality is almost the same; It's hard to tell the difference unless you really study the picture. HP has slightly better color dynamic range (obviously between light and dark areas of skin tone), but that's about it. This Lexmark printer has a really nice LCD menu

Cons
  • No automatic printing

Fast, good color, suitable for laser printers

I've only had it a few weeks but I like it. I had read several reviews about wireless network connection issues and didn't want to waste time fighting myself. I had no trouble connecting to my wireless network, but after 20 minutes of trying to force myself to print the job, I called Lexmark's #Support. The rep told me about a few things that weren't working, then took my phone number and said he'd call back in a few minutes while he tried to figure out what to do next. In fact, she called back

Pros
  • Printer
Cons
  • Minor problems

Good printer but toner is very expensive

I like a lot about this printer, it's simple and good quality. Then I had to replace the toner cartridges. Here are my review notes after using the printer for 1.5 years with very little use: 1) The toner cartridges that come with the printer are rated at 750 pages (color) and 1400 (black) which is about % less than what is calculated for the cheapest replacement toner cartridges. It seems pretty mean. 2) I'm pretty sure the printer is tracking the page count versus actual toner usage/amount…

Pros
  • Office electronics
Cons
  • Poor instructions
